  1. Go read your contract and warranty! Start taking action on this matter...it seems like it is bound to get worse! I think someone posted on one of your other questions: asking your neighbors if they are have all these problems also. I would almost bet that your home is not the only one, since they were built so fast!
  2. they are obliged to fix thier mistakes. Either let him know and see what he says. if he says no tell him that he has a law suit on his hands. If you have a contract with him, make sure he is obligated to fix it before telling hime to. If you sue, take the contract with you in court. hope it helps
  3. Do you have a contract with this person? Have you paid for any portion of this project? It might be time to start documenting every conversation, getting things on paper and if you need to contacting the Attorney General. Most reputable contractors depend on the word of mouth advertising and really make sure their customers are happy w/ results.
  4. Peaches, Apparently this is your 3rd question re:your house. I'll repeat my one answer...sit down with your contractor, be reasonable but get a list of things in writing that need to be resolved and how long it will take. If you can't come to a common ground, with hold final payment and pursue this in small claims or municipal court. I can practically guarantee your contractor, if he isnt on the up and up, will resort to some sort of statement like "...you cant get it done for the amount of money youre with holding." Dont fall for this even if it means more money down range. If push comes to shove, sue the jerk. But...try everything else first. Don't compromise, but be reasonable.
  5. Well, the question is: did the blueprint reflect the picture? If your builder followed your blueprint, you might be out of luck. The blueprint is the bible.
